MISSION

The Staging Of Election Debates Between Political Candidates Prior to National Elections.

The Jamaica Debates Commission was formed in 2002 as a partnership between Media Association Jamaica and Jamaica Chamber of Commerce.

Each organisation has equal representation on a 6-person Commission, with a rotating Chairmanship. Individuals on the Commission are given the title of Commissioners and are supported by Resource Persons who provide the Commission with additional skills and expertise.
